🪻 Specimen: The Violet Snapbloom
£20.00
📜 Field Guide Notes:
The Violet Snapbloom opens in dense layers of deep purple petals, tightly clustered around a narrow, tooth-lined mouth. The petals appear bristled rather than soft, giving the bloom a tense, coiled posture, as though perpetually on the verge of closing. Its centre holds the suggestion of restraint rather than hunger.
🍄 Habitat & Folklore:
Said to arise in borders planted too closely together, where roots compete and space is scarce. Garden lore claims these blooms develop teeth not to feed, but to defend their claim to light and soil.
💀 Warnings:
Do not crowd with other specimens. Prolonged proximity to neighbouring plants is believed to increase jaw tension, making the mouth appear tighter and more pronounced over time.
🎨 Sculptor’s Note:
Hand-sculpted in rich violet tones with layered petals and a detailed, toothed centre. Accented with green foliage and set in a mossed terracotta pot. A vigilant specimen—contained, defensive, and quietly hostile.
