📜 Field Guide Notes:

The Rustpetal Maw unfurls with mottled petals the colour of dried blood and weathered copper. At its centre rests a dark seedpod mouth, stitched with cruel little teeth 🦷. Though silent by day, some claim it shivers at dusk, as if murmuring through clenched jaws.

🍄 Habitat & Folklore:

Found near ruins and scorched ground, the Rustpetal Maw is tied to tales of curses and abandoned places. Folklore warns that where one blooms, old secrets are trying to claw their way back to the surface. Once thought to be guardians of buried relics, they are often left undisturbed.

💀 Warnings:

Do not attempt to pry open the pod. Those who tried reported tasting rust and ash in their mouths, followed by nights of whispered laughter in the dark.

🎨 Sculptor’s Note:

Hand-sculpted with weathered crimson petals and a grim seedpod mouth, this eerie bloom is set in a mossed terracotta pot 🪴. A dark specimen for collectors of the uncanny.
