📜 Field Guide Notes:

The Pale Maw blooms in fragile white and blush-pink petals, cradling a dark violet seedpod that bears a cruel, tooth-like grin 🦷. Though its mouth rarely opens, witnesses say it twitches when touched, as if straining to bite. The curling tendrils around its roots are known to creep when left in moonlight.

🍄 Habitat & Folklore:

Said to sprout in mossy glades and forgotten shrines, the Pale Maw is tied to tales of offerings gone wrong. Folklore claims travellers once left coins and bread at its base in hopes of pacifying it, though few stayed long enough to see whether the Maw accepted.

💀 Warnings:

Do not attempt to feed it with flesh or blood. Legends say those who tried soon vanished, their names whispered in the rustling of the leaves.

🎨 Sculptor’s Note:

Hand-sculpted with delicately shaded petals, a sinister pod mouth, and curling vine details 🌿. Resting in a mossed terracotta pot 🪴, this specimen is a haunting reminder of the garden’s hungrier roots.
